Returns and refunds
Used parts, sold one at a time, by one person. If something is wrong with what turned up I will make it right. The detail below is so you know exactly where you stand before you buy.
The short version
You have 14 days from delivery to tell me there is a problem. Parts go back in the condition they arrived in. Refunds go to the card that paid for the order.
If the part is not what the listing said
That one is on me. If a part arrives broken, arrives as the wrong part, or does not match its photographs and description, email within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photograph of the problem. I will send you a prepaid return label, and once the part is back here you get the whole amount you paid, the original shipping included.
If it was damaged in transit, keep the box and the packing material and photograph both before anything goes in the bin. That is what a carrier claim needs, and making the claim is my job, not yours.
If you have changed your mind
Also 14 days from delivery. The part comes back unused, uninstalled, in the condition it left here, and packed well enough to survive the trip. Return shipping is yours to pay, and the original shipping is not refunded. A part that comes back installed, damaged, or with its markings removed can be refunded in part, or not at all.
What cannot come back
- Electrical parts that have been installed or wired in. Once fitted they cannot be tested again.
- Parts that have been cut, drilled, painted, ground, or modified in any way.
- Anything sold and clearly described as scrap, as for-parts, or as untested and sold as-is.
Starting a return
Email with your order number and what is wrong, and wait for a reply before sending anything back. A part that arrives here unannounced can take a long time to match to an order, and a part sent back without agreeing it first may not be refundable at all.
How the money comes back
Refunds are issued through Stripe, to the original card. I process them within two business days of the part arriving back, or of us agreeing a refund without a return. Your bank then takes its own time, usually five to ten business days, before it shows up on a statement.
Partial refunds are an option too. A discount to keep a part with a flaw neither of us spotted is often the easier answer for both of us, and it is handled the same way.
Shipping
Each part carries its own shipping cost, shown on the listing and again in your cart before you pay. Orders go out by USPS or UPS, usually within two business days of the payment clearing, and the tracking number appears on your order page as soon as the label is bought.
Parts ship within the United States. For anywhere else, email before ordering and we will work the postage out first.
Cancelling an order
An order that has not shipped yet can be cancelled for a full refund. Just ask. Once the label is bought and the part is on its way it becomes a return, and the rules above apply.
